Bower Road Bike Park is located in West Lakes, South Australia. It is a large community of the Western suburbs, which houses families and riders of all ages.
This area of Adelaide is lakeside so has some cool breezes and sunny, open spaces creating a comfortable environment all year round. There is shade and shelter on-site around the park, drinking water and access to public transport to the city or Port Adelaide. The area offers access to water sports and activities on the lake.
The bike park was established by passionate community members and an initial audit of the bike park was conducted which identified some safety concerns and upgrade requirements.
The Trail Collective were engaged and led the project to bring together a renewed park that was fit for purpose whilst offering something for everyone. We successfully delivered an upgraded bike park that now caters for multiple levels of difficulty for beginners through to intermediate riders. This includes transfer lines, unique and updated features to increase skill development and flow for a greater user experience and participation.
