Toongabbie is one of Sydney’s oldest suburbs and is located approximately 30kms west of Sydney’s CBD. It is home to multiple parks and recreational areas.
The Trail Collective were engaged as the lead consultant to design an asphalt pump track to compliment the Sue Savage Reserve Master Plan. This pump track design was tailored to the desires and findings from our unique community consultation approach and caters for beginners and intermediate users.
We included fun and interesting features for user enjoyment and skill development. These included jumps, rollers, moguls and banked turns / berms with seamless and direct access from the skate park and ‘Settlers Walk’ shared pathway.
There was a high level of community advocacy and support for this project and it will be a great value add to the local communities outdoor recreation activities.
Other components of the master plan include increased allocation of car parking on Chanel Street, skate park, upgraded shelters, recreation nodes, multiple purpose court, landscaping, drinking fountains, toilets and amenities building.
